Sohar Islamic, Sohar International’s Islamic Window, has reiterated its commitment to advancing humanitarian causes for the betterment of society by sponsoring and participating in the 2nd edition of the annual forum of the Imam Jaber bin Zaid Waqf (endowments) Foundation. The forum, which took place on March 12 at the Sheraton Hotel Oman, was held under the patronage of HE Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, Executive President of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), the Sultanate of Oman's Sovereign Wealth Fund.
Mr. Abdul Wahid Al Murshidi, the Chief Islamic Banking Officer of Sohar International, represented the bank at the forum and participated at the panel discussion which highlighted the Endowments Investment Planning. Sohar Islamic, through a dedicated booth, exhibited its range of products and services and highlighted the pivotal role played by Waqf in the community.
