Sohar Islamic state-of-the-art new Mobile Banking App goes Live

Continuing to innovate for providing better customer service, Sohar Islamic has announced its new Mobile Banking App, offering the Bank’s accountholders increased convenience and an enhanced digital banking experience. The Sohar Islamic new mobile banking App is available on both, Android and iOS devices, and features the very latest in mobile banking technology with advanced security capabilities. The app also features a modern, streamlined look that caters ease of navigation, allowing customers to do banking on the go with facilities to view account balances, transfer funds, pay utility bills, credit card payments and much more.


Revealing the new Mobile Banking App, Mr. Abdulwahid Al Murshidi, Chief Islamic Banking Officer of Sohar International said, “With the focus on our digitalisation strategy, the new Sohar Islamic Mobile Banking App brings alive the Bank’s premium brand identity, and customer-centric vision. We have incorporated the very latest digital developments, while maintaining a firm focus on usability and an easy-to-use cross-platform interface. Also, the new app has been designed with an aim to offer customers an advanced, yet easy to use, online banking experience. Sohar Islamic is proud to launch the new mobile banking App and complement the Islamic banking landscape in Oman. Such innovations reiterate the Bank’s commitment to enable people to become winners through the Bank’s customised products and services.”


On downloading the mobile application from Google Play or Apple App Store, Sohar Islamic customers can easily monitor transactions in their accounts with real-time account balance information and mini statements. In addition, users will also be able to transfer funds between accounts within the Bank as well as within the country instantly. The App also allows users to pay their utility bill payments and credit card payments. For added convenience, the App also allows users to place requests for the Bank’s other services such as requesting of cheque books and demand drafts. Furthermore, using the very latest in technology and security features, the app ensures users the highest levels of data privacy and security at all times.
