Reinforcing its values as an organization that is dedicated to serving the community, Sohar International recently provided laptops for a number of the Oman College of Health Science students that had been impacted by Cyclone Shaheen. The laptops were handed over to the students at an event held at the Oman College of Health Sciences on November 23, 2021.
Welcomed by Dr Musatafa Fahmi, Dean of the Oman College of Health Sciences, the event was commemorated in the presence of Mr. Khalil Salim Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer of Sohar International. Commencing with an inspiring speech from Mr. Saif Said Al Rashdi, Senior Vice President and Head of Distribution at Sohar International, the students of Al Sarooj School for Basic Education School then put up an entertaining performance of folklore. Following the performance and amidst a round of applause and cheer, Sohar International gifted the laptops to the Oman College of Health Sciences students.
“At Sohar International, we believe that the best way to honor the occasion of the country’s 51st National Day is to extend our support towards beneficial causes that have a positive impact on our nation focusing on youth” said Mr. Khalil Salim Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer of Sohar International. “The youth are the future of the nation and it is vital to ensure that their educational journey remains uncompromised. Acknowledging the role of technology in imparting lessons, we, therefore, decided to sponsor laptops to the university which we believe will help students continue their learning journey uninterrupted.”
