MUSCAT, 6 October 2019: As an extension of its commitment to its vision of becoming a world-class Omani services company, Sohar International has recently partnered with new business groups to offer mobile payment through eFloos, the bank’s easy, fast and secure mobile payment service, in partnership with Omantel.

Strengthening its footprint in the mobile payment market in Oman, this expansion enables eFloos users to make transactions for various products and services available across the country via mobile.

The new agreements have been signed with Carrefour, Tim Horton’s, Ajmal Perfumes, Argan Gold, Baskin Robbins, Kargeen, Begums, Lunar Cinema, Moorish, Oman Phones, Ravenna Kunafa, Cleopatra, Subway and Caribou Coffee. As per the agreements, the registered merchant groups will offer eFloos as a payment mode at their various stores across Oman.

With an addition of new business groups to our mobile payment gateway, eFloos customers now have access to over 461 businesses and an easy payment method across the country,” said Khalil Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer of Sohar International.

He further added: “Through the use of eFloos, businesses can now bridge the digitisation gap they have faced previously. Helping them reach out to today’s digitally savvy customers, and hence expanding their overall customer base.”
