Bank Sohar recently sponsored a literary event hosted by the Urdu Wing of the Indian Social Club as part of its programme to support the youth, communities and cultural organisations. The event titled, ‘Mushairah’ was organized at the Ministry of Education Auditorium at Wataya and was a celebration of Urdu poets, well known among the Indian diaspora in Oman and abroad.
Commenting on the bank’s sponsorship, Mr. Mustafa Ali Mukhtar, DGM and Acting Head Wholesale Banking said, “Bank Sohar always strives to play an active role in the community by engaging in events that celebrate the diverse culture of our clients. Such occasions are opportunities that offer better insight into our customers’ financial habits, their banking requirements allowing us to develop better solutions for them. The bank is also presented with different perspectives of potential clients within their respective cultural and social milieu. This again helps in network and relationship building for the development of enhanced products and services.”
