Sohar International honored with ' Leading CSR Campaign of the Year’ Accolade at OERLive’s Digital Transformation Conference and Awards 2022

Recognizing its dedication to knowledge sharing, Sohar International was awarded the highly coveted title of ‘Leading CSR Campaign of the Year’ for its ‘Take It from Us’ initiative at the OERLive Digital Transformation Conference and Awards 2022. The event, which was conducted on June 29, 2022 at the Sheraton Hotel, and hosted by His Excellency Shaikh Salim Bin Mustahail Al Mashani witnessed the presence of H.H. Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, Chairman of Oman Information and communication Technology Group (ITHCA) as the chief guest.

The event was attended by senior-to-mid level bankers, Fintech experts, finance and investment professionals, insurance experts and business consultants. Representing Sohar International at the glitterati summit and Awards ceremony was Mr Khalil Salim Al Hedaifi, Chief Retails Banking Officer at Sohar Internal, and a number of the bank’s executive management. Mr. Khalil Salim Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer of Sohar International received the prestigious award from the chief guest of the event, H.H. Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd Al Said.

Sohar International’s initiative ‘Take It from Us’ or ‘Khudha Minna’ gained increasing popularity since its launch earlier in the year. Live-streamed monthly, the program was geared at spreading financial knowledge by providing free advisory on different banking products and services offered by the local banks. With each episode delving into different financial instruments, the bank was successfully able to engage with the community and respond to their various queries. It covered various topics like personal loans, auto loans, insurance, and savings accounts. To make the program more entertaining while taking on a more comprehensive approach, it also highlighted the unique tourism adventure experience offered by SMEs or local companies.

Recently, Sohar International was ranked by the highly coveted Best Banks Survey as the ‘Fastest Growing Bank’ in the Large Banks Category and ‘Excellence in Digital Transformation’ at the Oman Banking and Finance Awards.
