The agreement was signed to offer e-payment services in Oman through eFloos - an easy to pay facility that was launched recently through a tie-up between Sohar International and Omantel. Carrefour will start offering eFloos payments to its customers at its hypermarket in City Centre Muscat, with plans to roll out the facility across all its stores in Oman.

The agreement was signed by Mr Khalil Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer representing Sohar International and Najib Haddad, Country Manager of Carrefour Oman at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, at Carrefour Oman’s head offices. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the two organizations as well as Omantel, a strategic partner in the platform.
