RO 1,000 Distributed to 5 Winners as part of Sohar International’s Social Media Competition (#فخر_ الفوز)

Extending the Celebrations of the 49th Omani National Day to its social media followers and the nation at large, Sohar International announced the winners of its engaging competition (#فخر_ الفوز) which was launched on its Instagram page inviting all to take part by answering 5 questions on Eminent Omani Personalities with outstanding achievements that have contributed to the nation’s pride with their individual achievements. The competition concluded with a total of five lucky winners each receiving OMR 200 through a computerized draw. The winners emerging from the competition were xq061, rayana_lens, om_11f, lightmooooon14 and omna2020, with each individual receiving a cash prize of RO 200.

Commenting on the competition, Mr Mazin Mahmood Al Raisi, Sr. AGM & Head of Marketing & Customer Experience at Sohar International, said: “The purpose of this engaging competition was to provide another opportunity for our followers to win exciting cash prizes and also provide us great insights to our followers through their participations and comments. We were delighted to celebrate the 49th National day with our followers and the nation at large providing them an opportunity to discover more about the eminent personalities this great nation has produced.”

He further added “I would like to thank all our followers for their engagement and participations whilst congratulating those that have won with us. We encourage all to stay utned to our social media pages as we continue to provide more vision, more value, and more velocity to our followers through the various engaging initiatives”.

The competition that was launched on 17 November 2019, and ended on 21 November 2019 was conceptualised to commemorate the celebrations of the 49th National Day. The competition questions were posted on the bank’s official Instagram handle where followers were encouraged to post their replies using the hashtag “#فخر_الفوز” while tagging three friends on the post and following Sohar International’s Instagram page. An assigned committee from the Bank based on the terms and conditions of the competition, shortlisted hundreds of participants eligible for the draw.

The social media competitions organised by Sohar International are a reflection to the opulence of celebrations and events organized by the bank on such glorious occasion.
