Sohar International recently sponsored the Social Insurance Forum organised by the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI). The three day event addressed by national and international experts was held from 9 to 11 March at JW Marriot Hotel – Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre under the auspices of HE Sayyid Salim Mussalam Al Busaidy, Under-secretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs.

Attended by Bassam Al Balushi, Unit Head of Government and Public Sector Banking, the Social Insurance Forum discussed the third phase of its strategic plan for the period 2021-2025, drawn up in light of Oman Vision 2040, with special emphasis on welfare of private sector employees, role of investment and technology in enhancing sustainability and promoting social insurance and social protection systems to reach beneficiaries as smoothly as possible. The deliberations succeeded in highlighting the global best practices in social insurance and retirement benefits.
